There are so many benefits to epoxy coatings, it is almost better to ask the question, what is NOT a benefit? Perhaps the most talked about benefits are the ease of cleaning and maintenance. Once epoxy has been applied to your floors, you will not have to work hard at all to keep it clean and well-maintained, even if stains occur. The coating and sealant work together to keep stains sitting on top of the floor rather than being absorbed in, so they can easily be wiped or mopped for removal. Along with easy cleaning, epoxy provides a superior level of protection for your concrete floors and greatly increases their longevity by minimizing the risk of stains, cracks, or damage.

Epoxy is quick and easy to install for a trained professional. However, allowing the proper drying time is critical to ensure it is fully ready to use, especially in a place with heavy machinery or oil spills, such as an automotive shop. Once the final top coat has been applied, experts recommend waiting at least 18-24 hours before walking on the epoxy, and waiting another 24 hours before moving anything (such as shelves) onto the floor to avoid permanent indents. You should wait a full 72 hours before allowing any vehicle traffic onto the floor, and some experts recommend an additional 24-48 hours of waiting time after that, before parking a vehicle on the epoxy. The floor can be ruined if the drying process is rushed!
